Fellow American Eagle pilots,
I sincerely hope that you are enjoying the holidays and getting a well-deserved break from the stresses of 2012.
With most of AMR headquarters shut down for the holidays, we don’t have much to report this week except that we have now posted management’s proposed contract implementation timeline on the EGL-ALPAwebpage.
We are in the final stages of firming up this timeline and will let you know once it is final and if there are any changes to what is posted.
Despite this, the following elements of the new CBA will go into effect on January 1, 2013:
- Jobs Protection LOA
- Personal Time Off
- Section 30 (Amendment Round)
- Section 1 (Scope)
- Automation LOA
- Implementation LOA (Joint Implementation Committee)
- Profit Sharing LOA
- TDY beepers provision deletion
- New hire class cancellation change
- Fatigue Risk Management Program LOA
- Hotel LOA
- Grievance LOA
- Seniority List updates provision
- Vacation OT premium change
- Deadhead pay reduction
- IAI changes
- Per diem reduction
- Blended EMJ Captain rates
- Caller ID requirement for Crew Scheduling
All other agreed-to changes will be implemented at later dates pursuant to the finalized timeline that will be posted.
On another note, management has just posted revision 50 of our contract on JetNet. To be clear, this latest revision does not contain any of the provisions contained in the bankruptcy agreement. This is only the required January posting of the updated, official pilot seniority list.
We have been working since ratification to incorporate all of the new contract provisions and existing LOAs, LOUs, and grievance settlements into the actual body of the existing contract. We will make this available and the company will distribute paper copies as soon as the project is complete.
In the interim, please continue to reference the official language of the ratified agreement on the EGL-ALPA webpage.
